I also found two pumpkins growing in a corner of my back yard I didn't know about when I was mowing. I hit the green one accidentally and the orange one is already ready. I have zero idea how it got there since I haven't thrown out old seeds for at least 5 years. Pretty cool.

I know it was totally ready. I wouldn't have picked the green one until later but it disconnected when I hit it. It will eventually turn orange.

Always fun to discover stuff like that. You can just throw some old seeds or an old pumpkin/squash on the ground and sometimes it'll root on its own.
