Until recently there was a scheme in China where even a random idiot with a crappy education as long as he was white could make good money. In the early 2000s, the Chinese launched a program to attract foreign specialists and they didnt pay them in local currency they bought dollars to pay them. But those dumb narrow-eyed monkeys were so incompetent at hiring that any moron from Eastern Europe with a third rate diploma from a shabby college could go there lie and live as a first class lifestyle rake in money for a year or two and then before the contract ended fly off to the U.S. with that cash. Any redneck who could speak English could go there and be a prestigious British English teacher. So my dad missed that opportunity but not my uncle he with his shitty degree in some trivial crap went there and lied about how prestigious he was. The Chinese of course couldn’t verify if it was true they just looked at the color of his skin and took him on after all he was a tall blond guy who knew how to speak coherently and then he left for the US and now he lives in a big house with his family on his own property.
